We made this category because we understand that no matter how well the system is made, virtual learning has its limits. We want to help the students so that their studying can be made easier and more comfortable.

Study Group Program

With the obvious struggle of meeting in person, we understand that it can be difficult to find people who share classes and study in groups. You lose the ability to have your 3rd period APES review in the Cafeteria, and we understand how valuable that can be. In response, we plan to create a system where you can find other people in your class who want to be part of a weekly study group, or want to be your individual study buddy, helping you stay on top of assignments and tests in the long term. The program would be structured so that you sign up by putting in your information and then being grouped with people who share the class(es) you’re interested in group study sessions for. Once in your peer groups, you will have freedom to schedule your own sessions and meet according to your own schedules.

Speaker Series

While being at home, it seems to be an excellent time to be inspired by our mentors and our leaders. Last semester, we were able to host a number of professionals to talk about their successes and we would like to continue to give these valuable opportunities to you. Under our platform, we plan to invite additional professionals to come and speak in areas we haven’t yet had the chance to explore. We know many of you wanted a look into medical job opportunities, and mathematicians. We plan to arrange for professionals from those (and other) fields, to give you that additional insight into the different career paths you could take.

Study Guides

Last year, led by last year’s sophomore caucus, we got to see firsthand how beneficial a system of study guide sharing was. For our platform this year, we want to incorporate that into helping you make the most out of your studying time.  We understand how learning virtually has its limits. We plan to create a section on our website that offers you study guides sourced from other sophomores or upperclassmen for you to easily incorporate into your study regimens.
