In case of school reopening for the second semester...

This is a subcategory we made in case school reopens during the second semester. As a disclaimer, we understand that none of these policies will be initiated unless conditions for all students become safe and the school administration, CDC, and DOE permit to do so. 

Sophomore Reunion Party

Our time in high school is limited and we’ve almost spent a year at home. Naturally, we think there should be something to make up for the time we’ve been apart from each other. If, and only if, conditions become safe for all students and if the administration, CDC, and DOE permits it, we plan to host a Sophomore Reunion Party and we promise it will be a big one. Students will be able to once again come together and have fun during this event, celebrating the end of the pandemic and the start of returning to our normal school life. 

SophFrosh Semi-Formal!

As you know, unfortunately, we were unable to host the annual SophFrosh Semi-Formal last year. Our plans were cut short due to COVID-19 as we were forced into lockdown. However, in the event that school re-opens, we are more than ready, and excited to plan a Semi-Formal for Freshman and Sophomores to enjoy. Our experience planning the SnowBall shows exactly what we are capable of and is a testament to what the Agnihotri Park ticket can get done in an extremely short amount of time. In the event that school re-opens, we will be more than prepared to jump into action, in collaboration with the Freshman caucus, to really pull off the event. 

Continuing Last Years Policy Endorsements

During our time in the Freshman Caucus, we were able to accomplish many things. Unfortunately there were some policies we were not able to initiate due to lack of opportunities to communicate with the school staff who were very busy adapting to the new situations presented to them. Also, working on these policies this semester does not seem beneficial to the grade. However, if school reopens next semester, we will face these problems once again and it only seems fair for us to continue trying to fulfill the promises we made. The policies we endorsed last year included early entrance from lunch periods and before the school day, and the one earphone policy.
