Last year, Gitae and Satvik were able to accomplish a number of things as the Freshman Caucus. Here's a quick overlook of all the things they got done.

• First up, they started by throwing the SnowBall. The event was highly lucrative and featured food, drinks, games, music, creative decorations, and A LOT of dancing. 

• As the year took a turn towards the second semester, they released the Sophomore guide to course selections. Here, they summarized course descriptions using information sourced from Facebook and TALOS to create a comprehensive document that allowed you to compare and contrast courses in preparation for Sophomore year.

• With the year making the unfortunate turn to a Quarantine Lockdown, the Freshman Caucus released Tips and Tricks to Stay Safe and Sane in Quarantine. This series of documents/facebook posts gave suggestions on working out, staying fit, eating healthy, and studying tips, among other things to try and help you stay on track and productive through whatever distractions or frustrations you may have had because of the transition.

• In hopes of giving you guys something to do, alongside Tips and Tricks to Stay Safe and Sane in Quarantine, they released a cookbook and drink manual. The two, cumulatively, provided a long list of creative foods and drinks you could put together with minimal prep time. 

• In addition to our efforts to give you guys something to do, they  arranged and held a number of competitions to showcase your talents while still stuck at home. These ranged from Tiktoks and poetry to art and creative writing. They ran until the end of the school year.

• As AP season came around, the Freshman Caucus released two large information documents featuring a summarization of everything you needed to know leading up to the AP exams and a second document offering course-specific resources to help you study and prepare for the exams.

• As the year was starting to unwind, it became clear that many of you were getting bored of your music playlists and looking for new songs. In response, they  went ahead and put together 12 playlists, each featuring a different genre to refresh your ears and give you an easy way to find new music.

• In addition to our efforts to support you directly, they took on the initiative to bring in guest speakers to add to the SU speaker series. They  hosted zoom interviews of attorneys, entrepreneurs, and chemists to add insight into our wonderful world of learning. 

• With the year finally coming to an end, Freshman Caucus closed off the year by putting together a reminiscent video showcasing pictures of freshman and their friends spending time and goofing around in and around our high school. 

• And lastly, staying just slightly active, they held the Freshman Caucus Movie Night showcasing Pride and Prejudice over the summer.
